I’ve always loved the posters that were created for the trilogy. Not only are they beautiful, they invoke such strong nostalgia. They make me remember what it was like to discover Middle Earth and these characters for the first time, getting unbearably excited every winter for the next installment, crying when it was all over… I can’t quite believe that 11 years on I am still in love with with it.
the first one, on which frodo looks down at the ring, hang in the cinema about half a year before the trilogy started in austria, and i saw it and knew that i would absolutely fall in love with it, although i knew nothing about lotr at that point. i think i’m gonna cry… and it is only 7 days till triple feature day, woohooo!!
